Dr. Lindemann grew up and currently lives in Fargo, ND with her husband and daughter. Her first career was as an organic chemist working in biotech companies, until she developed Hodgkin Lymphoma at age 28. Her experience with a difficult diagnosis, chemotherapy and radiation therapy changed her life goals and she set her mind to going to medical school. She was able to accomplish this goal at the University of North Dakota School of Medicine and Health Sciences, graduating the oldest in her class at age 39 in 2013.
After many years in corporate medicine and community health, she started her independent family medicine practice in September 2024, Willow Health. She looks forward to growing her practice and the ability to be able to take care of her patients the best way she sees fit without the restrictions and mandates of corporate medicine. Her practice is a traditional family medicine practice, accepting insurance and seeing patients of all ages. She also focuses on caring for cancer survivors by providing them Survivorship Care Plans.
Dr. Lindemann knows first hand how it feels to be a cancer survivor. During treatment and the period directly afterwards, cancer survivors feel safe in the care of their oncologists. However when they are discharged from oncology back to primary care, they often feel a disconnect. They know that they have risks that average people do not have. However, after having gone through training in primary care, Dr. Lindemann understand that there is very little education in residency and after about how to care for these special patients.
There are solid guidelines by the NCCN that any physician can follow. However in the hectic life of a primary care physician, it isn’t cost- or time- effective to learn and use these guidelines. In my independent practice I will provide recommendations in 3 aspects of cancer survivorship: monitoring for return of symptoms, monitoring and treatment of late effects of cancer and cancer treatments, and individualized screening recommendations based on the patient’s cancer diagnosis and treatments.
This is my dream and my passion, to provide a bridge in the gap that has existed between oncology and primary care for over 20 years, and to be able to take care of patients they way that they deserve.
