Dustin Portela, DO, is a board-certified dermatologist and dermatologic surgeon who has practiced since 2017. Certified through the American Board of Dermatology, he served as Chief Resident during his training and was honored with the Excellence in Dermatologic Surgery Award for his work in Mohs micrographic surgery and facial reconstruction.
Dr. Portela is the owner of Treasure Valley Dermatology & Skin Cancer Center and the former President of the Boise Valley Dermatology Group. In 2023, he founded and continues to operate a mobile dermatology clinic providing free dermatology care to underserved communities across Idaho. A nationally published author and lecturer, he specializes in skin cancer surgery, complex medical dermatology, and wound healing.
Beyond the clinic, Dr. Portela is one of the most-followed dermatology voices on social media, reaching nearly 5 million followers with trusted, accessible education on skin health and skincare. He now helps coach other physicians to grow their own brands through social media.
