ABOUT THIS LECTURE

(This lecture is part of our Writer’s Conference for For Healthcare Professionals II)

Target Audience:
This presentation is for those motivated to finish (or start!) writing their books. Writers at all levels are welcome. We’ll explore what it takes to write a polished first page that hooks agents and grabs the attention of ideal readers.

Learning Objectives:
• Explore the fundamental elements agents and audiences look for in a story’s opening. These include setting, tone, tension, optimal
starting points, and compelling protagonists.
• Discover ways to synthesize these elements seamlessly, so they become a natural part of the story you want to tell.
• Identify story speedbumps that can slow a novel’s beginning.

You can consider enrolling in Rebecca Pickens’ coaching course, here. A small percentage of the course will be paid to SoMeDocs, to help keep us running, at no additional cost to you.
