Dr. Samiya Hashmi is a board-certified Internal Medicine physician with more than 15 years of clinical experience, specializing in functional and lifestyle medicine, women’s health, perimenopause, gut health, metabolic health, and longevity.
She is the founder of OneMDHealth, a personalized health and wellness practice built around identifying the root causes of symptoms and helping patients better understand their bodies. Dr. Hashmi is also a board-certified Lifestyle Medicine physician and previously served as a Physician Advisor at Elmhurst Hospital, where she continues to practice hospital medicine.
Her approach uniquely bridges the rigor of conventional medicine with functional and lifestyle medicine, combining advanced laboratory evaluation, evidence-informed therapies, nutrition, hormone health, and prevention with something she believes medicine too often overlooks: truly listening to the patient.
She is also the founder and host of the OneMDHealth podcast, where she brings physicians, health experts, and innovators together for candid conversations about women’s health, longevity, gut health, hormones, and the evolving future of medicine.
At the heart of Dr. Hashmi’s work is a simple philosophy: healing begins when we stop treating numbers and start seeing the whole person.
