More About the Book

Silicon Valley University of Evolutionary Computation (SUEC) was established in 2025 in a secluded location in the hills above Redwood City, California. SUEC realized a new model of collaboration between major tech companies and the state of California to develop cutting-edge technologies within the framework of a research-intensive university. On May 24, 2033, a young researcher at SUEC, Dr. Nia Johnes, was shot by a mysterious killer. FBI special agent Terrel Wright, CIA agent Dr. Annya Segond and SUEC radiologist Dr. Lili Pham launch an investigation that turns the idyllic university community upside down. The investigator team discovers a series of unexplained infections and unsettling research activities that the SUEC leadership would rather keep quiet. As the team uncovers the secrets behind Nia’s death, a powerful psychopath threatens to destroy their careers, kills their witnesses and blackmails the university president. While the death toll rises, Terrel, Annya and Lili hurry to find the killer and prevent further deaths. Nia Johnes’ story teaches appearances of infectious diseases on medical imaging studies through a page-turning detective story.
