Dr. Tracy Asamoah, founder of Sage Elements Leadership Coaching, is a physician, leadership coach, and educator who helps leaders move beyond skills-based leadership to cultivate the internal resources needed to lead sustainably and thrive. With a background in psychiatry, she integrates neuroscience and behavioral science into her coaching, empowering leaders to navigate change, build resilience, and expand their impact.
In addition to practicing child and adolescent psychiatry for more than two decades, Dr. Asamoah has coached deans, department chairs, medical directors, and executives in academic medicine, higher education, and nonprofit leadership. She holds an Associate Certified Coach (ACC) credential from the International Coaching Federation (ICF) and is a certified CCL 360 Assessment facilitator.
Dr. Asamoah completed medical school at the University of California, San Francisco, and residency and fellowship at the University of California, Los Angeles. While in practice, she was recognized as a Top Doctor by Austin Monthly Magazine and Austin Black Business Journal. She has held various leadership roles, trained physicians and coaches, designed leadership curricula, and contributed to books and articles on mental health and professional development.
Dr. Asamoah has worked with several academic medicine institutions, the American Medical Women’s Association and coaches with SPIRO Coaching Insitutue and StrongLead business consultancy. She serves on the executive team for the Physician Coaching Alliance and the board of the Austin Black Physicians Association.
Outside of work, she enjoys traveling, reading, interior design, and spending time with her husband, two daughters, and their pet bunny, Mylo.
