Speaking up is often celebrated in theory.
In practice, many healthcare professionals learn that raising concerns can come at a personal cost.
We’re inviting physicians and other healthcare professionals to share their experiences with speaking up in medicine. Whether you challenged a patient safety issue, questioned a policy, reported misconduct, or simply watched what happened to someone else who did, your story matters.
Our goal is to spark an honest conversation about transparency, accountability, and the culture that shapes healthcare today. Selected stories may be featured by SoMeDocs as part of an upcoming series exploring whistleblowing in medicine.
What Inspired This Project
Whistleblower Retaliation Against Physicians Is the Norm. I Learned that the Hard Way.
How to Participate
• Share your story on social media and tag @SoMeDocs so we can find it.
• Submit your story to SoMeDocs in our Article Submission section, here.
• You may submit anonymously if you prefer. If anonymity is requested, we will remove identifying details before publication.
There is no right or wrong experience to share.
Some stories involve formal whistleblower cases. Others are about the quiet moments that taught you why people stay silent.
If your experience changed the way you view medicine, we’d like to hear it.
