Dr. Stella K. Evans, MD spent two decades of her career caring for children and youth with special health care needs (CYSHCN). She champions working as part of a team that includes sub specialists, educational support, and psychological support. She believes that every child is intrinsically worthy, self-compassion does not need to be dismissed because someone else is hurting, and ability is not a good measure of value. She writes about disability, equity, and the care of the whole person. She is a physician coach and spiritual director.
