I’m a PGY-2 transitioning from psychiatry to preventive medicine with a passion for education and mental health. After graduating from Emory University and majoring in Biology and Anthropology/Human Biology, I received my MD from the UT Long School of Medicine and MPH from the UT School of Public Health in 2019. I matched into psychiatry, but during my intern year, I realized I wanted to make a broader impact and left to pursue other areas of medicine. My interests and background include mental health and wellbeing, suicide prevention, and mentorship, especially for medical students and residents. This has led to me creating an online platform for trainees to connect and support one another, working to fill a gap in the nationwide support for those going through medical training. If you need a resident’s perspective on medical training and wellbeing, I am excited to fill that role.
