Complex Cares LLC
As a child who was often sick and not getting answers, I thought there had to be a better way and decided at age 7 I was going to become a physician. I graduated from an accelerated program at the University of Missouri-Kansas City School of Medicine then went onto complete family medicine residency through the University of Minnesota North Memorial Family Medicine Residency. I initially practiced full spectrum (clinic, hospital care, prenatal care, delivery, nursing home care, and treated patients of all ages) then transitioned to outpatient only after became a mother to my first of 3 incredible children who are constantly growing far too quickly. I continue to work in the outpatient setting, but I opened my own organization (Complex Cares LLC) on November 1, 2018 to focus on treating complex, multi-system diseases with emphasis on Ehlers-Danlos Syndrome and other connective tissue diseases, Mast Cell Activation Syndrome and other mast cell disorders, Postural Orthostatic Tachycardia Syndrome, and Dysautonomia. I evaluate, diagnose, and treat patients of all ages and provide comprehensive care. Additionally, I have published case series, journal articles, textbook chapters, and led continuing medical education lectures about those conditions for years in addition to separate writing publications (fiction novel, poetry, and others in process). I am also licensed in multiple states and have patients who travel from literally all over the world to see me and do my best to accommodate their schedules and coordinate care with their local clinicians too.
