Dr. Wheat is an academic family physician who finds great joy in helping others find their inner potential. She is a program director for the McGaw Northwestern Family Medicine Residency at Delnor Hospital.  She is also VC of Health Equity and Associate Professor of Family and Community Medicine at the Northwestern Feinberg School of Medicine.  Dr. Wheat is active in professional organizations for physicians, family physicians, and educators.  Her focus is on belonging, community, and improving access and education. 

As a dedicated career and life coach, Dr. Wheat specializes in helping physicians and other healthcare workers overcome burnout and reignite their passion for their profession. She offers the guidance and support needed to thrive in the demanding world of healthcare.

Dr. Wheat enjoys speaking on many topics and am happy to craft conversations on clinical topics, leadership, inclusion, and community.
