Dr. Robin Schoenthaler was a radiation oncologist for almost 30 years at the Massachusetts General Hospital in Boston, MA where she specialized in working with women with breast and gynecologic cancers, She also has a long-standing interest in cancer survivorship, ethical issues in oncology, and medical education. She is now a Senior Physician Advisor in the Expert Medical Opinion division of Teladoc Health working with patients with all adult malignancies.
She grew up in Northern California and is a product of the University of California educational system: UC Berkeley as an undergrad and then UCLA for medical school and UCSF for residency. She is also a published essayist in the NEJM, Readers’ Digest, Boston Globe, Pulse Magazine, Brain, Child, Boston Globe Magazine, etc.
She is also a sought-after speaker and an award-winning story-teller. Among other achievements, she won the Boston Moth GrandSlam Championship, which she will tell you was one of the top four nights of her life.
In addition during the Covid pandemic she wrote a weekly column on Covid, accumulating over 150,000 words on the subject and 150,000 followers.
