On my journey as an Internal Medicine, Obesity & Lifestyle Medicine physician, I have come to approach health in a personalized, patient-centric way.
Cardio-metabolic disease and obesity are the results of a complex interplay of genetics, medical factors, socioeconomic factors, environment, mental health, health habits and behaviors, dietary patterns and culture.
In my membership-based clinical practice, consulting work and social media content and blog, I share tools for how to optimize cardio-metabolic health. By bringing together evidence-based medicine with ways to optimize lifestyle pillars of stress, sleep, and movement and applying culinary medicine, I help create a sustainable dietary and lifestyle approach to metabolic health.
In my own health journey, as a physician, woman and a mom, I have often struggled to find a balance between maintaining a healthy lifestyle and facing the challenge of balancing responsibilities of work and family.
I am passionate about educating health care providers about how to implement evidence-based Obesity, Lifestyle and Culinary Medicine tools in their practices and empowering others to create lifestyle habits in order to achieve their optimal well-being.
