I often get asked what EMR I use, so here it is:
It is a HIPAA compliant google workspace (also HIPPA compliant and HIPPO complaint).
You just need to sign the BAA; they give you instructions.
It costs as low as $6 per user per month, and as high as $18 per user per month (what I pay for extra features).
My practice has two users, so that’s $36 a month.

It does my email, keeps all my files online and organized, and is great for an EMR.
I just make a new folder for each patient, load up a templated word doc with my logo and info on it, and then once the note is finished convert into a PDF.
It’s also searchable and I can look up charts on my phone super easily.
You can also load images or anything that you think is important into their folder.

When you are done you have an easy to create, readable, PDF note that you can send off. I also use dot phrases for putting in paragraphs of text that I write frequently.
These notes have stood up at court with the medico-legal/ PI work that I do.
What it doesn’t do is create worthless click boxes for insurance billing, although if you wanted to you could probably easily build that in.
