Maybe you feel like you’re constantly striving and not thriving.
Maybe you’ve lost the joy for your work AND your life in the midst of trying to do more/be more/accomplish more.
Maybe you’ve developed habits that don’t align with your values. Wait… what are your true values again, anyway?
I know what it’s like to lose yourself in your work. To forget self-care. I learned this the hard way. I started med school with the same vigor and excitement as anyone, but during my attempts to be all the things to all the people, I burned out. Or so I thought… I had all the signs and symptoms. But it turned out that something else was going on, something that I failed to recognize for months.
You don’t have to experience a major health scare like I did during my residency training to wake up and realize that you’ve lost yourself.
Work-Life Balance Optimization Coaching:
People often say that there’s no such thing as work-life balance, but I disagree. The most important thing I’ve realized in my 10+ years of being a physician is that work-life balance is a highly individual practice. One person’s balance may look drastically different than another’s. That’s why following the herd and continuing on the “treadmill of achievement”, all the while crowdsourcing solutions for feeling more balanced, does not work.
I offer individualized, 1:1 coaching to help you find (or rediscover) your authentic self, so you can figure out your own practice of balance. It’s not about achieving goals; it’s about changing your mindset and moving toward your ideal life. Using well-studied self-knowledge and mindfulness techniques, you’ll get practical tools specific to you, on your timetable.
Mama Doc Journey Coaching:
Navigating an infertility journey while being a physician presents a unique set of challenges. I’ve been there, and I can say that the mental stress of uncertainty, loneliness, and longing for control far outweighed any physical stress of any infertility procedure. You are not alone!
I offer private, 1:1 coaching for women physicians who have found themselves in the unfortunate (yet all too common) position where family building interferes with a medical career (and vice versa). Together, we will build your mindset, mindfulness muscle and self-care strategies to weather your Mama Doc Journey.
