Dr. Dana Corriel (moderator) is an internist and the founder/CEO of SoMeDocs (Doctors on Social Media), a healthcare omnimedia platform that empowers medical professionals. A leading voice in digital healthcare, she advises health brands, speaks internationally—including at Harvard and the UN—and has been featured in major outlets like the LA Times, Medscape, and The Boston Globe. Dr. Corriel brings a unique blend of clinical insight, digital strategy, and creative vision to healthcare innovation.
Dr. Deepa Sannidhi is residency trained in family medicine and preventive medicine. She holds certifications in obesity medicine, and lifestyle medicine. She is an associate clinical professor in the department of family medicine at UC San Diego and serves as assistant program director for the UCSD-SDSU general preventive medicine residency. She serves as a concentration lead for the UCSD Herbert Wertheim School of Public Health. She teaches students and trainees at all levels of training. She has published and spoken nationally and internationally on obesity, lifestyle medicine, shared medical appointments and health communication.
Clinically, she partners with the UCSD Center for Integrative Medicine and Center for Advanced Weight management to offer the UCSD Supervised Lifestyle and Integrative Medicine (SLIM) program, which is an innovative medical weight loss program integrating lifestyle and integrative medicine approaches with medical weight loss using anti-obesity medications in a shared medical appointment setting.
Dr. Michelle L Thompson is triple board certified in lifestyle, integrative, and osteopathic family medicine incorporating culinary medicine, psychedelics and mind-body skills into her patient care along with teaching medical students, interns, residents, and attendings at UPMC since 2006. As the medical director for the Lifestyle Medicine Institute, she is leading the initiative to place self-care in the center of patient care and employee health. She is changing the the way medical education and residency is taught placing lifestyle medicine at the center of their training overseeing the lifestyle medicine residency curriculum for family and internal medicine training programs. She has served as Chair of Medicine and currently Vice Chief of Staff for UPMC Horizon and Jameson. Dr Thompson created a "Doctors in the Kitchen-Food as Medicine and Physician Wellness" program offering CME for her colleagues to learn about self-care and lifestyle medicine. As an avid educator and faculty for LECOM, PCOM, and UPSOM, she has taken traditional journal clubs for the residents into the teaching kitchen. She designed lifestyle medicine grand rounds offered virtually system wide.
Dr. Thompson has transformed the way health care is offered in her primary care practice and community offering free classes in nutrition, WFPB teaching kitchens, mindfulness workshops, yoga, tai chi, qigong, meditation, sound therapy, art therapy, forest bathing, shop with a doc, aromatherapy, dancing mindfulness, Ayurveda, mind-body medicine, and many other integrative tools empowering people to take control of their health. She has received many awards and grants for her community work where she brought the Dr Yum Project to 3 counties and 2 states to teach nutrition to children and their families in 10 head start programs. Her pop up teaching kitchen she designed moves through the community teaching churches, schools, businesses, first responders, and doctors offices the daily dozen and pillars of lifestyle medicine. She is an advocate for system change and has been a pioneer in changing the way health care is delivered.
Dr. Jacob Mirsky MD, MA, DipABLM, FACLM is a primary care physician at Massachusetts General Hospital (MGH), Assistant Professor of Medicine at Harvard Medical School (HMS), and the Assistant CME Course Director at the MGH Benson-Henry Institute for Mind Body Medicine. He has led 300+ lifestyle medicine SMAs and since 2021 has served as the Medical Director of MGH's Healthy Lifestyle Program, which is the largest lifestyle medicine SMA program in the country. Dr. Jacob Mirsky is board certified in both internal medicine and lifestyle medicine, and in 2024 he was named a Fellow of the American College of Lifestyle Medicine for the "highest standard of professional development and contribution to the field."
