Kathleen Young, M.D. is a distinguished child, adolescent, and adult psychiatrist with 18 years of experience in private practice. Throughout her career, she has enjoyed the privilege of working closely with patients and families, developing a specific interest in neurodiversity and Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD). This passion was ignited by her encounters with many patients, especially adolescent girls who have been given diagnoses that do not neatly define their experiences and who continue to feel they are different despite treatment. Dr. Young obtained her medical degree from the University of Pennsylvania Perelman School of Medicine, completed residency at Johns Hopkins Hospital, and pursued fellowship training in child and adolescent psychiatry and forensic psychiatry at Columbia University.
