Olga Calof, M.D., is board-certified in diabetes, endocrinology, and metabolism practicing in Los Angeles, California.
As an endocrinologist, I cover complex cases such as diabetes, obesity, metabolic disorders, thyroid dysfunction, and so much more. I am fortunate that my position allows me to use my training as a clinician, teacher, and clinical investigator. My career has allowed me to be both a physician and leader. I have been elected to the board of directors and co-chair the Patient Experience Committee. In my free time, I volunteer and provide educational lectures for physicians and the community.
My philosophy of care is to personally connect with patients, so we can work together to understand their disease, how it should be treated, and how to modify lifestyle choices to live the best life possible. As a teacher, I love engaging with my patients to treat complex conditions. I have the privilege of following generations of patients, from great grandparents to great-grandchildren and I appreciate the trust families put in me as I care for them.
I am fortunate to work with a group of doctors who treat patients and each other as family.
A fun fact about me that people may not know is that I was a PADI certified diving instructor in medical school.
