Mimi Zieman is the author of Tap Dancing on Everest, a memoir about being the doctor and only woman on a historic Everest expedition in Tibet as a twenty-five-year old medical student. As a board-certified OB/GYN, fellowship-trained in Family Planning, she is also an advocate for reproductive rights, and co-author of sixteen editions of Managing Contraception. Her play, The Post-Roe Monologues, has been performed in multiple cities, and her writing has appeared in Newsweek, The Sun Magazine, Ms. Magazine, The Forward, NBC News THINK, Dorothy Parker’s Ashes, and other publications. Zieman publishes a free monthly newsletter on Substack combining medical updates and inspiration from art and nature.
