Melissa Welby, MD

(SoMeDocs Databank)

Name & Credentials:

Melissa Welby, MD

Fairfield and Milford, CT

Topics I cover:

  1. Evidenced-based psychiatric education meant to inspire action and empower individuals to take charge of their health.
  2. All things mental health: including self-help resources, adult ADHD, suicide prevention, stigma, and increasing resilience/motivation/authenticity to live a fulfilling life.
  3. Blogging and social media for medical professionals- particularly leveraging the power of LinkedIn and Pinterest.

What makes me STAND OUT:

Psychiatric care is not always available. Because of this, I make information accessible and understandable to the general public throughout the world through writing and speaking about psychiatric topics. I am passionate about empowering people and providing information that can be translated to better their lives.

I advocate for my patients and my profession and take on leadership roles to do this. I am driven, engaging, and I comfortably connect with my audience.

My quote:

“We can all make a difference for our own and others’ quality of life: through everyday choices, generosity of spirit, and by having an overall drive to build each other up while still prioritizing self-care.”
