Meditation and Sleep

Insomnia. Difficulty sleeping. Not sleeping enough. It comes up repeatedly in my practice. Let's talk about sleep.

. 🧘🏾‍♀️Meditation and Sleep. 📿

🌟Meditation is a powerful way to discharge negative emotions, release stress and tap into inner peace.

Studies have shown practicing mediation for just a few minutes a day can dramatically improve symptoms of insomnia.

Ever had trouble letting go of thoughts as you try to fall asleep? Meditation can solve this for you.

🌌Meditation is simply a journey from activity into silence. You’re not creating silence – it is already, always present. You are simply tapping into the silence.

⭐️If you’re new to meditation and want to try it, use these tips: .

👉🏽Sit comfortably.

👉🏽Set a soft timer for 5 minutes.

👉🏽Close your eyes.

👉🏽Just notice your breath for those few minutes.

👉🏽If your attention goes away from your breath, it’s OK. Just gently come back to your breath.

. 🎊And that is it! It really is simple and gets easier the more you practice.

👩🏽‍⚕️Did you know? I teach 2 different kinds of meditation. Mantra based meditation🧘🏾‍♀️(PSM) and a guided, sleep based meditation💟(Yoga Nidra).

Every single client benefits – they tell me how valuable it is to have a one-on-one teacher.

📸 – I post photos of my meditations on my social media account. It’s usually just a regular day of meditation for me. You know, just my daily spot.

JK – I posted a photo showing how I spent a few minutes meditating, while we were hiking on the Appalachian Trail.🌎 .

How about you? Do you meditate? Why or why not?
