Laura Berenstain, MD, ACC

Physician, coach, speaker

I’m a pediatric cardiac anesthesiologist who is passionate about helping women physicians live their best lives. As a full-time academic physician and parent, I know the personal and professional challenges that we face every day. Coaching women physicians for success has been the most satisfying part of my career – my favorite moment is watching someone’s mindset shift and seeing them gain new perspectives.

As a coach, I can help you re-integrate and embrace ALL the parts of you while developing your physician leadership identity with intention. We are all leaders, even though sometimes we get too overwhelmed to realize it.  I also specialize in coaching women at the personal and professional transition points we often face in integrating life and career.

I love speaking, writing, leading workshops, and connecting with other women. My other professional interests include physician well-being and resiliency, inclusive cultures, and developing effective leaders and systems. I’m immensely proud of my three wonderful daughters and spare time = biking and hiking, travel, reading, and learning French!

I am a member of the American Society of Anesthesiologists, the Society for Pediatric Anesthesia’s Women’s Empowerment and Leadership Initiative, and a member of the Board of Directors for the Congenital Cardiac Anesthesia Society.
