Dr. Joseph Parker served in the US Marine Corps and the US Air Force, where he was an officer in the Strategic Air Command and US Space Command.  He then graduated from the Mayo Clinic with honors in Neuroscience and his lived experience has given him a deep respect for those who suffer daily from debilitating conditions and circumstances, believing that everyone deserves compassionate treatment and an opportunity to contribute to our society. He has practiced general and emergency for over twenty-five years while creating protocols and procedures for pain and addiction medicine clinics. He speaks out against the current political and prosecutorial targeting of physicians who treat pain and addiction and is an advocate for the incarcerated and those suffering from medical abandonment and neglect.
