I thought my career was over before it began.
Just months into residency, I faced debilitating anxiety and depression and made the tough decision to step away from clinical practice. Today, I couldn’t be more grateful.
Over the last 8 years, I’ve fully immersed myself in medical education. I’ve done it all—from 1:1 conversations to full lecture halls, California to rural West Virginia, low tech to high tech—you name it.
Throughout, I learned as well as taught, gaining powerful skills like public speaking, relationship-building, computer programming, storytelling, curricular design, social media marketing, and sales. I now use these skills as the CEO and founder of ALOE Digital Solutions, and I’m committed to sharing what I’ve learned through my newsletter, The MedEdge, and to helping physician experts succeed as #MedEd business owners.
Medical education set me free, and now I’m dedicated to helping other physicians find that same freedom.
