Dr. Kirsten Frederiksen is a board-certified Internal Medicine and Obesity Medicine specialist, with 20+ years of expertise in building and managing multiple successful medical practices.  Her widely-recognized, innovative care models have involved ground-up partnerships with medical systems and digital companies, focused in the last 10 years on metabolic health.  These programs have resulted in weight loss and improved health for thousands of patients.  Most recently, she held a Directorship position at Form, an all-virtual nationwide obesity medicine practice, overseeing a large clinical team.  She is currently the Chair of the Bariatric Med/Surg Committee for the Obesity Medicine Association.  Provision of the highest quality acute and chronic medical care for adults has always been a priority; she is currently focused on advocating for wider acceptance and implementation of standards of care in obesity medicine and weight management.  She has received multiple awards, including the Margaret W. Brigham Prize for Excellence, Janet M. Glasgow Memorial Achievement Award, Alpha Omega Alpha Medical Honor Society membership, American College of Physician fellowship, Obesity Medicine Association fellowship, and is a Diplomate of the American Board of Obesity Medicine.  Prior to her career in medicine, she trained and worked as an international health economist, advising large organizations on cost-effective provision of health care services. She is the founder and CEO of obesia health.
