About me

I am an Assistant Professor as part of the Cardiac Mechanical Support, Heart Failure & Transplant team at the University of Utah. I work as a cardiologist with expertise in patients with advanced heart failure who benefit from heart transplantation or mechanical circulatory support. I teach medical students, residents, and fellows at the University of Utah.

three topics of focus :

number
one

Cardiology – I discuss broad topics in cardiology with a keen interest in reducing the epidemic of cardiovascular disease within the South Asian community

number
two

Heart Failure & Transplant Cardiology – I specialize in taking care of patients with end stage heart disease and discuss topics such as end of life care, heart transplantation and mechanical circulatory support.

three

Social Media – I am an advocate of medical professionals using Twitter to engage the community and stay up to date in their field of practice.

What makes me stand out:

Medicine is a true calling and a commitment. I was unfortunate to lose my father at a young age to heart disease, but fortunate that it catalyzed me to passionately pursue a career in cardiology. I am an early-career academic physician balancing a lifestyle of patient care, research, and education and I love to speak on topics including South Asian heart health and helping young professionals find their niche in medicine!
