I am a board-certified Emergency physician with over 20 years’ clinical experience.

Currently working as medical director and attending physician in emergency medicine, our hospital’s wound care/hyperbarics clinic, and also at our community plasma center. I concurrently precept medical students which has brought a new level of career and personal satisfaction.

Career experience is widely-varied  in addition to traditional physician services, serving in leadership roles throughout my educational and professional endeavors. These experiences include multiple medical director and administrative roles, medical-legal consulting, advisor to startups, telemedicine, hospital media liaison, screenplay script consultant, grassroots advocacy organizer, business consultant and quality/peer review services.

Life before medicine included dancing for the University of Notre Dame and 2 years in improvisational theater in Chicago, with the Second City student program. I draw on these experiences more than one might imagine. Almost daily.
