Dr. Hong is a board-certified dermatologist in private practice after completing medical school and residency at UCSF. She has a passion for creative aspects of life including art, dance, and energy-healing (Reiki).
She is Reiki Master Teacher and has taught and certified over 100 physicians and healthcare workers in Reiki. She has lectured and led workshops about Reiki, physician-wellness, and breathwork for various conferences including the Integrative Dermatology Symposium and SF dermatology. Her lecture on Reiki is part of the Integrative Dermatology Certificate Program curricular.
She is also an avid artist who has artwork published in Physician Outlook Magazine, been featured at a local gallery, and painted a utility box as part of a community art project. She has also taught physician workshops on mindful watercolor and Neurographic art.
She has led dance and mindful movement workshops as part of physician conferences, retreats and also local events. She incorporates her background in mindfulness, dance, and Qi-gong in her sessions.
