Dr. Joy Oakman is board-qualified by the American Board of Foot and Ankle Surgery and the American Board of Podiatric Medicine. She earned her doctorate degree from Temple University School of Podiatric Medicine, and her Bachelor of Science in Health & Exercise Physiology from Ursinus College. Dr. Joy’s passion for biomechanics began while conducting clinical biomechanical research as an undergraduate and graduate student.
She graduated from a 3-Year Podiatric Medicine and Reconstructive Rearfoot and Ankle Surgical Residency at Hoboken University Medical Center, and received the American Academy of Foot and Ankle Osteosynthesis Comprehensive Internal Fixation and American College of Foot & Ankle Surgeons Arthroscopy certifications.
