I am fellowship trained from Brown University Women and Infants Hospital in Providence, Rhode Island, in breast diseases. Prior to that, I attended medical school at New Jersey University in Newark and completed my general surgery residency at University Hospital in Newark, New Jersey
I am a board-certified surgeon practicing breast surgery. I have a special interest in treating young and minority women of all ages with breast cancer and breast disease.
Breast cancer in young women and African American women.
Health and wellness.
Living your best life.
My specialty is an excellent combination of women’s health and surgery and I don’t believe in paternalistic medicine. My patients are like family and I encourage them to be involved in their medical decision making. I also know that representation matters, so I want to be that person that young women interested in the STEM fields look to and say- ‘yes I too can do this’.
SoMeDocs builds profiles for doctors who create, push past boundaries, and aim to innovate. It’s always fascinating to see what our doctors are up to. Each profile is unique and pieced together by hand, so when you share, it supports both the doctor featured, and SoMeDocs. So thanks.
