By incorporating his expertise in clinical and translational research, entrepreneurship, healthcare management, and the sociological and artistic components of medicine, he is committed to developing a unique and innovative approach to redefine, and disrupt the standard of modern day healthcare.

Dr. Reminick trained in the combined Pediatrics/Anesthesiology residency program at Stanford University Medical Center/Stanford Children’s Health – Lucile Packard Children’s Hospital.  He graduated Alpha Omega Alpha from the University of Rochester School of Medicine, while concurrently earning his MBA from the Simon Graduate School of Business, concentrating in Entrepreneurship and Health Sciences Management. In his role at Thalamus, Dr. Reminick leads an amazing team whose mission is to ensure that the right doctor trains at the right hospital to treat the right patients (and vice versa).  They achieve this vision by building software that streamlines recruitment for residency/fellowship applicants and programs by eliminating unnecessary phone calls/emails allowing candidates to book interviews in real-time (similar to Open Table), while acting as a process-specific applicant tracking system (ATS) for hospitals and institutions. Thereby, Thalamus provides a comprehensive online interview scheduling and travel coordination via a real-time scheduling system – online and mobile, including support of virtual interviews, automated itinerary building, and AI/ML application review!  The software is used by over 300+ academic institutions and health systems (including 98 of the top 100 hospitals by size), 2500+ residency/fellowship programs and 90% of all new US physicians annually (and 40% of practicing US physicians to-date).

Originally from East Meadow, Long Island, NY, Dr. Reminick now resides in Nashville, TN with his wife and son, although spends a good deal of his time in Silicon Valley (where he previously lived).  As such, he is part of several innovation ecosystems and always happy to connect with others looking to get more involved in healthcare innovation.  Dr. Reminick is a mentor and advisor at the Nashville Entrepreneur Center and gives lectures on pitching and raising money in Silicon Valley and elsewhere.   Previously, he was also the co-Director of the Nashville Chapter of the Society of Physician Entrepreneurs (SOPE).

Dr. Reminick is passionate about medical innovation, education and technology with publications featured in leading medical journals including The Journal of Graduate Medical Education (JGME), The Journal of American Medical Association (JAMA), The Journal of the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons (JAAOS) and Anesthesia & Analgesia.  He is a nationally renowned expert on the undergraduate medical education (UME) to graduate medical education (GME) transition, including all things regarding residency (and fellowship) recruitment and the Match.

He is excited to be a part of the SoMeDocs community and looks forward to interacting with everyone!
