I am a first generation American from the City of Miami who new from a young age that training and practicing in Medicine would be more than a career, it would be a vocation. During my time spent training at a top Family Medicine program in eastern North Carolina, I narrowed down on the growing issues with the healthcare system. They were hard to miss and I knew that our communities deserved more. After my residency training, I went on to work in the hospital setting. Why? This is where the cracks in prevention and guidance/advocacy are most apparent. I am prepared and ready to guide my community to better health through an individualized and holistic approach; meeting each person where they are on their journey to health and wellness.
