In my last article I wrote about the importance of using videos in marketing your business.
I’m sure just the thought of making of video to many of you is frightening.
You may be self-conscious. You may doubt that you can do it.
I remember the first online video I did… in December 2015.
There I was in a dark room with a desk light shining in my face.
The lighting was poor and I spoke in a monotone voice.
I look back on that video and it was awful.
But I did it. And I did it over and over and got better.
In working to overcome your fears, realize that there will be negative comments (even the best videos have them).
But also know that most comments will be positive.
Believe that you have value to give. You know more than you realize that is valuable to others.
My advice to you is to Just Do It. Overcome your fear. Step outside your comfort zone. Don’t worry about what others think. Pull out your phone and record a one-minute video now. Talk about why you became a physician or why you started your side business.
Keep in mind that successful people face their fears and do it anyway. You’ll feel liberated when you face your fears.
Who’s ready to record their first video?
