Smoothies, ice cream, banana bread, oh my!

Moms are you looking for quick and easy snacks for your kids? Frozen bananas are great way to get your kids a healthy snack that they’ll love. They’re also super easy to prepare and can be used in a variety of recipes.

In this video, I’ll show you a quick and easy method I use to freeze bananas

For baking, I freeze them whole in the peel – but for frozen treats like smoothies and nice cream, banana slices freeze and blend much faster!

I’m Dr. Danielle, a full time family medicine physician and mom of two. I know how hard it can be to find time to make healthy snacks for your kids, especially when you’re busy working. You can freeze these now make smoothies or nice cream later!

Step 1:
Gather 3 things (maybe 4): ripe bananas, butter knife, baking sheet, parchment (optional, depending on how many bananas)

Step 2:
Peel one side of the banana and slice it into approximately ½ inch coins

Step 3:
Let the coins fall onto the baking sheet in a single layer and avoid overlapping. Place parchment paper over the layer if you have more bananas

Step 4:
Freeze the bananas and once frozen, store in a freezer safe container until future use

That’s it! It’s a quick and easy process that only takes a few minutes.
