Sexual wellness solutions women deserve.

Problem your innovation solves

43% of women have a sexual problem or concern, but society ignores this need leaving women and their doctors without the necessary resources to address these problems.  Rosy helps doctors and women by providing a convenient, evidence-based platform created by doctors and therapists for women to find the answers they deserve.   When women present to their doctors with sexual problems, they now have a trusted referral source.

Intended target audience/user of your innovation

We serve women of all ages who need access to education, self-help, community, and experts to support them through sexual problems and concerns.

Interesting experience while developing your innovation

Developing a solution is all about talking to the people who will use it.  You may think you have everything figured out, but user testing is the most important part of development.  There will be thoughts, emotions, and feelings uncovered that are invaluable to the future of the company and its success.

Mistakes/hurdles along the way

The biggest hurdle I’ve overcome is my own self-doubt.  As a physician entrepreneur, it is common to think that you are the least qualified when it comes to technology or business.  The truth is that we are MORE than capable.  Many skills that we learn as physicians are extremely helpful to the entrepreneurial journey.  If you are an effective communicator who can recognize your own knowledge gaps, you have more than enough skills to get started.

Typical day in your life

I wake up most days at 5:30 and have a cup of coffee while journaling or meditating before the kids get up.  A few days a week I work out and then get ready for the day.  I start the day by returning emails and completing any approvals for the team.  Then I see a few patients over our telehealth platform followed by our team meeting.  The afternoons are filled with product planning, marketing meetings, investor relations, content writing & creation, and connecting with our user and healthcare professional networks.

Someone who inspires you

My husband is a born entrepreneur.  He taught me to think about problems that I was uniquely qualified to solve.  I think this piece of advice is SO VALUABLE to physicians.  We run into problems every single day that effect patient care, productivity, safety, and outcomes.  WE are the perfect people to solve those problems.  He allowed me to see that possibility in myself.

Parting words of wisdom

I think it is easy to look at other innovators and think that they have some magic skill or knowledge base that you don’t.  That is simply not true. There is not a day that goes by where I feel 100% confident that I know the answers to the problems I am trying to solve.  But I do know that I am 100% committed to asking the questions that get me closer to the better world for women that I want to see.
