Hami Melon: It's NOT Cantaloupe [VIDEO]

Discovering hami melon in my 40s completely changed my mind about melons. I honestly thought the typical cantaloupe/honeydew melons were the boring afterthoughts filling tiny restaurant bowls when you chose the “side of fruit” option along with your entree.

But these – THESE melons are bursting with flavor and should proudly be served on every table this summer!

What’s packed inside this delicious fruit?

Vitamins A, C, and E – promote a healthy immune system and can help protect against disease.

Potassium – an important mineral that helps regulate blood pressure and heart health.

And fiber – essential for digestive health and can help keep you feeling full.

For agua fresca, blend 4 cups frozen fruit with water in 3 cups water, then finish with a squeeze of lime. I often omit additional sweeteners because the fruit has natural sugar. This recipe is healthier than juice because it utilizes the whole fruit including the pulp so you don’t miss out on all that fiber!
