Dr. Warth is a graduate of the Ohio State University College of Medicine, completed residency at Creighton University Hospitals, and has recently retired from 48 years of practice as a board certified internist. He is well known for his bedside manner, professionalism, and excellence in medicine. He authored a website called art-of-patient-care.com written for healthcare professionals emphasizing the importance of compassion, empathy, and continuity in taking care of patients. Currently he is co-founder and President of the Coastal Virginia Medical Society, providing advocacy for physicians in eastern Virginia and their patients (cvmedicalsociety.org). He also founded the Coastal Virginia Medical Foundation cvmedicalsociety.org/Foundation.html) to develop resources and funding for charitable services such as providing support for patients who are devastated by medical expenses, medical student scholarships to help decrease their educational debt, local medical research, hospice, support for physicians with burnout, etc. His other interests include writing and he is currently the author of four newsletters, and working on two books. He enjoys playing guitar, and model railroading in N scale. He has authored multiple other websites including building-your-model-railroad.com, mrmhr.org, virginia-beach-premier-medical.com, johnjkrueger-foundation.com, and virginiateasociety.org as well as the one mentioned above. He also co-founded the development of the Model Railroad Museum of Hampton Roads scheduled to open this November 2024.
