Episode 3: I Need Caregiver Support

Dr. Baumgaertel dives deep into the layers of support for caregivers, and explains her new acronym DAIS: Delegate, Ask, Identify, and Set boundaries.

This is not a therapy discussion, but more of an awareness chat.

So many caregivers feel overwhelmed, yet also feel selfish or guilty when considering how to prioritize personal needs.

Dr. Baumgaertel looks at systems, relationships, needs and even deeper needs, to spotlight caregiver support.

She creates her own acronym DAIS which stands for Delegate, Ask, Identify and Set (boundaries).

She also reminds us all about the lost art of listening and creating space, being comfortable with silence.

Oh yes – and not every problem needs to be solved!
