The Anonymous Question:
Throughout my career as an experienced family physician, I’ve explored various side gigs that have allowed me to expand my horizons beyond clinical practice.
I’m a PGY-30, to be exact. However, I recently encountered a dilemma when considering a side gig in medical writing.
I realize how lucky I am that I was even offered this opportunity and yet, I can’t help but feel conflicted.
While it could provide an avenue for sharing knowledge on a broader scale, I questioned whether it might divert my focus from patient care.
What types of side gigs have you all explored in addition to your medical practice, and have you faced any dilemmas in pursuing them?
