Family Medicine | Lifestyle Medicine | Physician

Debra Blaine, MD, CMT is a physician turned full-time writer and coach. She’s penned multiple award-winning novels and she coaches authors through the entire process of writing, from first vision through final draft, editing, and self-publishing. Learning to self-publish was a game-changer and she loves to teach her clients how easy it is to do it well.

She’s certified as a Master Coach through the FIA International Academy of Professional Coaching, and works with many burned-out docs who are searching for deeper meaning in their lives. Especially those who are dissatisfied with the hamster-wheel lifestyle that the practice of profit-based medicine requires.

Sometimes writing is part of that, but not necessarily.

Recently, she found a new joy as a freelance writer for pets.

After 33 years of medical practice, Dr. Blaine understands what it takes to shift the needle and forge a whole new identity. She’s always happy to talk to budding novelists and disenchanted physicians. Life is too short to slog away in misery 8 – 12 hours a day.
