Deborah Charfoos MD

Podcaster, Gynecologist, Humanitarian

I have taken care of women’s health needs for 30 years and decided to share my knowledge and love of educating by starting a podcast, but Exam Room Exposed is just one of my fun leisure activities. I also volunteer at a medical clinic in an uninsured, underserved area where I provide gynecologic care. In the city of Detroit I am working on a collaboration with Wayne State University and Brilliant Detroit to help entire neighborhoods with mental and medical services, thereby improving the social determinants of health. I am also the mother or 3 grown men and am married to a OB/GYN. I love sharing how I managed the 20+ years of motherhood and full time work (and being on call for OB) while managing a household and staying married.
