Dr. Cindy Dafashy is a wife, mother, sister, child, and board-certified Family Medicine physician who is committed to restoring the patient-physician relationship. Dr. Dafashy is passionate about patient education, price transparency, and helping her patients navigate the complicated maze of the healthcare system in a simple and straightforward way. She feels strongly that a family doctor should work in the interest of the patient, not for the insurance companies. She is a first generation Ecuadorian-American and fell in love with the city of Houston for its diversity in culture. She is married with two young kids who keep her heart dancing and a smile imprinted on her face.
Dr. Dafashy grew up in San Antonio before embarking on her academic career around Texas. She received her Bachelor’s degree in Cognitive Sciences at Rice University in Houston, a Master’s in Medical Sciences at UNT Health Sciences Center in Fort Worth, and her medical degree from Texas A&M College of Medicine, training in Bryan and Temple, Texas. She completed her Family Medicine residency at UTMB Galveston, where she was given a prestigious award from the Department of Family Medicine for Clinical Excellence. She opened her Direct Primary Care practice in Houston to change the way patients are treated by offering a more affordable, transparent, and accessible option.
