ABOUT THIS LECTURE

I lecture about evidenced-based research about cannabis and cannabinoids and how they affect pain.

Target Audience: This lecture would be great for physicians wanting to learn alternative ways to treat pain, but my style is approachable enough for patients to understand too.

Learning Objectives:
1) the physiology of the endocannabinoid system and how it plays a role in initiating a neural pathway that downregulates pain.
2)review evidence about THC and pain. review studies to show it benefits and limitations and side effects. Reviews studies to show that it can decrease the amount of opioids people use for pain.
3) review evidence about CBD and pain
4) review current evidence about other endocannabinoids and pain such as CBG, THCa.
