I am a private practice otolaryngologist; my training was heavily surgical and hospital-based, but my practice is office-based so I see a lot of patients. Establishing rapport with each patient is critical. Rapport is the key to gaining trust, seeing patients efficiently, enjoying practice, and building a reputation. I tried to find a podcast that would help me improve at doctor-patient communication, but there was none, so I created it. From there, the range of topics exploded to cover anything that would help physicians develop personally and professionally. I am available as a keynote speaker on improving the patient experience, doctor-patient communication, and running office-hours efficiently. I am always looking for ways to collaborate with others looking to improve patient care and the lives of physicians.
