The Anonymous Question:
Hi all,
I’m a surgeon and currently trying to find a balance between my primary medical work and the side gig I worked relatively hard to obtain, as a medical consultant for a healthcare technology startup.
I feel like it’s crucial to have this on the side this day and age, and I’m sure most of you would agree.
However, I faced an issue when presented with an opportunity to take on additional responsibilities at the startup.
While it could significantly contribute to advancements in healthcare, I had to carefully evaluate the potential strain it may place on my surgical practice.
How do you balance your time between your primary medical work and your side gig, especially when faced with dilemmas like this?
