I’m an endocrinologist who trained at the University of Iowa (go Hawks!) and at the start of my clinical career, was also part of the research lab of Chris Adams, MD, PhD studying skeletal muscle atrophy. My clinical and research training as well as subsequent clinical experience have been focused human metabolism and optimizing the performance of the human body. My passion is the prevention and management of diabetes and obesity, though I am comfortable treating a wide range of endocrine disorders. While I am a fan of traditional allopathic medicine, I am also a huge advocate of lifestyle modification in the management of disease states and also for general well being.
