I’m a Harvard-trained physician with 10+ years of clinical and leadership experience
Clinically, I’m a hematologist specializing in thrombosis and hemostasis (clotting and bleeding disorders). I previously practiced at the Mayo Clinic in Rochester, Minnesota and at Penn Medicine in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania and am currently practicing part-time at the University of Minnesota.
I’m an international leader and innovator in gender equity, fertility/infertility awareness, parental health, work-life balance/integration for physicians, and career development/mentorship. I’m a passionate advocate for women’s rights, equity, and improving healthcare delivery/outcomes for women. Additionally, I’m an experienced medical educator with almost 10 years of leadership in the medical education sector.
In addition to part-time clinical practice, I devote a large amount of time to leadership roles in nonprofit organizations focused on gender equity. Current roles include Chief Innovation Officer and Chair of the Speakers Bureau for Women in Medicine( a 501(c)(3) nonprofit dedicated to advancing gender equity in healthcare), Curriculum Chair for IGNITEMed (a nonprofit focused on education for women medical students), and multiple leadership roles in the American Medical Women’s Association.
