After someone’s pulse comes back after cardiac arrest – the resuscitation period isn’t over. I explain how we continue to stabilize the patient. We also consider something called “hypothermia” protocol also called targeted temperature management. I explain how we make the decision to pursue hypothermia as well as who is a good candidate and who is not a candidate. I also explain what anoxic brain injury is and the process of neuro-prognostication.
